Elder Flowers - Culinary Grade. Elder is typically considered a shrub. It is in the same family as the honeysuckle. The small white flowers are often added to syrups or cordials. Elder flower is also a wonderful additive for teas and other beverages, including liquors. One famous fruity liquor that incorporates elder flowers is called St. Germain.
Enjoy the dried elder flower alone as a tea by boiling water and adding a tsp. for every 6 oz. of water. Let it steep for about 5 minutes.
