Milk Thistle Powder for Teatox- Milk thistle is commonly found throughout Europe and the Pacific Northwest of the US, although it is native to the Mediterranean.
Like other thistles, the plant protects itself with sharp thorns that poke when you brush up against them. Many people think of this plant as a weed, but in reality, it has a lot of great uses including adding seeds to salads or mixing in teas.
For centuries, the entire milk thistle plant (remove the thorns first) has been cultivated for food, most notably in European monastery gardens. The plant contains compounds collectively known as silymarin. The seeds are a good source of protein and amino acids.
To make milk thistle tea follow this simple recipe:
Add 1 tsp. milk thistle to 1 cup boiling water. Cover and let it steep on the counter for at least 20 minutes. Drink. (There may be a bit of powder residue in the bottom of your mug unless you use a muslin bag infuser).
WHAT YOU GET-
Enough milk thistle for 4 cups (6 oz. teacups) of tea
Ingredients: powdered milk thistle
