Vintage Fish Shaped Serving Dish, Pink | Mid Century Trout Dish
We're not sure who the maker of these fun pink mid century serving pieces are, but we're guessing California Pottery. The color of these fish dishes (say that three times fast!) would make a delightful addition to your table; they could even do double-duty as decorative elements in your beach style living room or boho bath. The soft pink color, or "blush" as some call it, complements a myriad of other colors.
The color pink was a mid century favorite. "First Lady Mamie Eisenhower was pivotal in popularizing the color, which is often referred to as “Mamie Pink” or “First Lady Pink.” Her husband President Dwight D. Eisenhower sent her pink flowers every morning," according to Save the Pink Bathrooms.
Pink bathrooms and decor started spreading like wildfire during the 1950s. There are still many homes that have maintained their vintage pink tiles and walls.
This pink fish dish set will work in well with all your other mid century pieces as well as any modern ones!
